Cameroon’s Housing Minister Tours Landmark Development Projects in Egypt
In a bid to absorb new insights and foster international cooperation, Celestine Ketcha Courtes, Cameroon’s Minister of Housing and Urban Development, embarked on a tour of significant development projects in Egypt’s Cairo Governorate.
Egyptian Development Projects: A Study Tour for Cameroon’s Minister
During her visit to Egypt, Minister Ketcha Courtes visited several prominent development projects, including the transformative Maspero Triangle, the historical Magra El-Oyoun, and the innovative Le Lac Du Caire.
Renowned urban development expert, Samir Ghattas, commented on the visit, saying, “By visiting these key projects, Minister Ketcha Courtes is showing a clear desire to understand and learn from the successful urban development practices implemented in Egypt.”

Le Lac Du Caire, the third development project visited by the Minister, is a forward-thinking project designed around a man-made lake. The unique project integrates residential, commercial, cultural and entertainment activities, all planned around sustainable urban development principles.
