The diplomatic ties between India and Cameroon took another positive turn with the two countries holding their third round of Foreign Office Consultations (FOC) in Yaounde, the capital city of Cameroon, according to an official statement from the Ministry of External Affairs on Tuesday.

Fostering Bilateral Relations

These consultations underscore the commitment of both nations to bolster their bilateral relations and collaborate on a diverse range of issues. The FOC serves as an essential diplomatic tool for expediting ongoing conversation and highlighting key focus areas for mutual cooperation.

“In these consultations, we strive to strengthen our connections and chart a course for future collaboration,” said Ruchi Ghanashyam, India’s Secretary (West) in the Ministry of External Affairs.

“We believe there’s immense potential for enhancing our bilateral trade and investment. Furthermore, collaborations in areas like education could pave the way for more comprehensive ties,” said Adama Moussa, Cameroon’s Secretary-General of the Ministry of External Relations.

Business analyst, Kritika Joshi commented, “India and Cameroon have a wide scope for economic exchange. Be it IT, infrastructure, or agriculture, there are numerous sectors where both countries can benefit from strengthened partnership.”
